Default ALMS GT2 Rumors and Speculation - Not looking good for Porsche

Lizards down to one car? FarnbacherLoles out? PTG Panoz out? Risi running a partial season? No second BMW team?

Hopefully things will improve in time for the green flag at Sebring, if not my money is on Corvette for the championship.

Cory, I agree.

Speaking of rumors, anyone hear that a prominent Porsche team had one of their principles run away with a bunch of customer deposit $$??

The ALMS as well as other racing bodies will continue to experience the wrath of a sour economy.....It's a shame but reflects what's happening throughout all aspects of racing.

Wow. Is there any TARP money left to request? They are too important to fail.

Bank of America and some other banks are poised to pay back major dollars. I say use that money to reinvest in racing infrastructure!

They've been with them since the beginning back in '04....

I would think Porsche would like to see a 3-peat especially with the competitive racing with Corvette, Ferrari, and BMWs, would be quite a feather in the Kappe.

That guy's kind of dramatic with his blog....ha.

I thought Shoretel was Seth Neiman's business (team principal)?

I agree that Murphy the bear can focus too much on "doom and gloom" but it's usually a pretty interesting read.

If Porsche punks out of this season I'll never forgive them.

But I wish they'd get a pro driver in for Seth Neiman, he barely beats the Challenge cars at the races (maybe 1-2 seconds a lap). Porsche is going to have to up the ante.

At the very least, this shows this guy is only making ill-educated guesses at best. So far 0-1. And saw Farnbacher at Road Atlanta today looking just dandy. So if somethings going down, they sure don't look like it unless they are just fulfilling contracts, but I've heard that those get cut short too in those instances.
