Default We're going to Daytona!

I haven't been this excited in a long time! Vancouver BC based Bullet Racing is heading down to Daytona with a completely all-Canadian team!

Last year, Bullet racing proved itself at the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona. The team stayed on track for the entire 24 hours, climbing 25 positions in the GT class (with a 996!) and finishing an attention getting 14th in its first ever Rolex appearance. I believe the team still holds the fastest ever 996 cup laptime at Daytona.

This year, we are going with a 997 Cup Car, and are looking for a podium finish with local drivers Steve Paquette, Ross Bentley, Cindy Stevens, and Glenn Nixon!

If you are driving or crewing at the 24 hours, make sure to come down to our paddock and say hi! (We'll be the ones with the maple leaf on the cars!)

(I'll be sure to sneak a rennlist sticker somewhere on the car...)

Along those lines, Bullet Racing is doing the same thing with some local & international childrens' charities. I'll announce the details as soon as they're confirmed!

It's a great cause and those of us with a little extra disposable income should support these two great teams.

Look forward to seeing you guys down there. BTW what was the laptime for the 996? Just some friendly competition. We ran a 996 in 2007.

Our best lap last year was just under a 1:56. 1:55.9 or so, I think.

We're looking forward to this year, though... a brand spanking new '09 997 is on it's way.

See you down there.

A/C!!?!??! I understand for the RSR, but for the cups that seems odd!

My cool suit is plenty, the A/C is probably $1000 to recharge every other race if I know Porsche Motorsports....

09 grand -am model will have the cup s front bodywork, adjustable caster control arms, and a little more power due to a different crank shaft and exh cams.

We were supposed to get one of the new 09 models but after seeing the price we are prob just going to update our 08 grand-am spec car. A lot of work to make the "spec" car ready to race.

Those are great times for a 996. We got down to a high 54 in qualifying in 2007 but that was a 110 percent lap. Don't think I could match that again. Looking forward to seeing you guys in the 7. Should be a great race.
