Peter and Colin - good to finally meet the two of you. Great job out there too. You both drove REALLY well. Sorry I couldn't be out there with you this year but soon, I hope!

Just your typical cup car grid at a well attended PCA club race.

K964 - I met Joe at the track Saturday - great guy and beautiful car - we talked some 968 Firehawk talk - Not sure what happened to him in the Sprint however, he ended up against the wall in turn 17 ans was towed off - not sure if he hit the wall or not - didn't have a chance to make it back to him.

It was an awesome weekend and I am glad to be off probation now
I finally got the hang of my new car in the enduro and went from 13th to about 6th at the black flag that came after about half an hour. Don't know how I finished, the sheets were not out when I left.
Here is a video I posted on myspace, I hope you don't have to be a member to see them. It's the enduro late in the race, not too fast (2:16) but shows what it's like to drive a totally stock brand new 997 cup and how NOT to pass a car while on probation (sideways). It starts heading onto the long back straight. Myspace really compresses the video so I put it on my website too.

This is from my Ghetto Cam which I explained in another thread, it worked fine but you have to press STOP when done, before powering off, or the data is not saved.
Have fun!

Mike-
Nice video. Everytime I see video of the sequential I start drooling, especially after lumbering through my 915 this weekend. Soon....VERY soon!

Colin-
We didn't get a chance to meet at the event but I did meet a few other Rennlisters. I did enjoy mixing it up with you today though. I won the night race in GT4s but Palumbo was too much for all of us 4s guys today. I got second. I do remember you making it pretty hard on me

Peter, was a blast running with you during the enduro. I definitely saw plenty of your car. If I remember correctly, I bunged up a shift and you and 2 others blew by me .

Finally awake after getting home at 3AM.
Wow! What a weekend. The night racing was surreal and very very cool. Just ask Colin and Jupe about my reaction when extracting myself from the car after the race, Maybe they can tell you what I said.
The cup group was insane and pretty much outta control. A lot of carnage but also a lot of fun. What an awesome weekend and Kudos to PCA and the region for what was a superbly run event and great hospitality!
(the track on the other hand was VERY slow to remove the problem children off the track)
Having never run at Sebring before, I am happy to be home unscathed and some 2:17-2:18 laps under my belt.
My prediction: With night racing being SOOOOO COOOL, I expect at least 3 or 4night races for the 2009 schedule. You heard it here first.
JL
PS: Great job for the Jupeman. Many firsts and workers choice

Okay, I won't be insulted if there aren't any pix of Amy's (968) car!
Good drives by all the Rennlisters out there. Nice to see some old friends again and meet some fellow 'listers at the track.
Arrived home last evening to 11 F. temp. Brrrrr.

Richard: Sorry I missed you as well. If you werent having fun, somthings wrong! As I told Colin and Jupe, night racing is one of the top 5 things I have ever done in my life. Wow! You'll have to ask them about the other comments I made.
Tilly: Do you have any shots of the #73 Farnbacher Cup Car? Thanks!
