911,930.993 Race Weight
What weight lets say a street/race 911 930 and 993 car should weigh I'm talking about with a/c and interior. I would also like to know about the weight of a full race track/de car. My car weighs with me in it 3040 I have full interior and sound system I am just curious about what is a good weight for street and track/de racing.

my 993RSCS weighs approximately 2800lbs. 6spd power windows/p mirrors/CD radio/full interior/behind seats rollbar/ NO A/C currently Recaro SPG seats with sabelts. Would add back a/c wich adds 20lbs (should have never taken it out such stupidity). I am no match for any 600HP V8 equiped 911 in straight line dragrace situation......BUT Georgy...you come to a roadcourse on your street tires and YOU'RE MINE and Ill lap your *** (LOL dont reach for your gun !!!!).........Ill be at Watkins Glen International 8/3-8/5/01 running 2min 10s and Summit point 1min 22secs...lime Rock 59 secs ( that place a wreck waiting to happen)!! I would love to add a Nitrous kit so at a clubrace...i could purge the bottle at the base of the windshield IHRA style. I would laugh my *** off!!!!!Competitors wouldnt know what was going on!!!!!!

From the weights being put up I'm a little heavy? I don't have any extra weight to take out, I will just have to deal with it but one goog thing is my a/c works and believe me it's very hot in the swamp.

David,
First think is to get the heavy seats out and replace with race seats. Then get the interior out and replace with lightweight carpet. New RS door panels. The the body work. New rear and front bumper and decklid. Maybe even replace the sunroof with a carbon insert. This should get you down to around the 2800lb range depending on your initial weight. Then you have the a/c ..

I stripped the interior out. Seats, all carpet, panels rear self, under dash, glove box, door panels. Tried to remove as much adhesive as possible (unbelievable job)Had full cage installed. Then installed light-weight carpet set, Rs door panels, race seats. I reinstalled the rear shelf after removing seatbelts, all insulation, speakers, etc. You won't believe how much the foam, sound insulation weighs.
Exterior. I put a new front nose and rear bumper and decklid with RS ClubSport wing. The stock decklid and retractable spoiler is very heavy. I race in PCA sticj class C and you can't remove the fenders or doors and replace with lightweight stuff, But that is where I would go next if I wanted to loose even more weight. Here are some pictures of my car.
