Default floorpan damage from improper jacking

Somehwere along the way our vehicle was jacked improperly. There a couple noticible spots where the floorpan is bulging upward.

Would you folks bother doing anything to try to correct the damage? Perhaps hammer it back down, or cut it out and weld in some new sheet? Or should I just leave it?

The car is strictly for track use and I just want to make sure I don't have any bigger problems than just a dented floorpan. I can snap some pics tomorrow if necessary.

Safety is my concern and now is the time to fix the issue (while its stripped, before cage and paint).

I guess it depends on how damaged it is.
If it were my car, and it was stripped and waiting for paint, I would repair it.

I've got a bump in my floorpan where the dead pedal should be from sliding in to the trees and high centering on a mound of dirt at LRP. I'm keeping it as a reminder to be careful :-)

Hey;

It is not critical. knock it out with a hammer. A shot filled plastic dead blow hammer works best. Or... whatever you have.

Thanks for the responses. I wanted to take care of it before its becomes too much of a hassle to get down there.

Hey John

Someone on the thread about harness bars may be interested in one of your roll bars. I didn't even know you made one, but someone on the thread mentioned that you did.

About the dent, I used a porta-power between the roll cage and the floor, worked for a small dent. But big hammers (BFH's) are easier to come by.

I wouldn't want anyone to hit me with a hammer if I'd had an improper jacking
