Default What is this on a CGT?

I'm in the process of getting a Passort 9500ci integrated radar detector installed in my CGT. My installer needs to drop the front undertray to pass some wires from the rear sensors into the cockpit. It seems this silver screw with a hex hole is holding the undertray on. It's on the front right portion of the tray.

What is it??

A drain? An adjuster??

Is it the one that looks out of place as there isn't another one on the other side? About the size of a quarter?

I'm pretty sure that is one of the drains for the coolant. I dont think it needs to be removed to take the panel off. Make sure your guy knows the procedures, ie: tying the car down and such, removing the panels in sequence. Wheew that's a lot of screws to remove. Sounds like your guy is trying to do a good job.

It's the AC drain exit point.

Thanks guys. Once all the undertray screws were removed it seemd this was still holding the undertray on. If we remove it will A/C refrigerant come out? Or is it merely access to the A/C drain?

Is it "holding" it on or just interference? In pic above almost looks like the drain plug protrudes down low enough that the hole in the carbon doesn't clear it easily.

I know nothing about the actual CGT panels. Just commenting on the pic. I'd consult a local Porsche shop.

You may remove that screw without issue. It is required to remove that center under panel. It is a drain for the air conditioning system but only for the condensation that drains from the evaporator behind the dash. On a humid day you may see water drop out of the center holes of the 10mm allen plug

Additional quick note, if that panel has been properly removed and installed in the past (when I last installed your panel they were there) there will be washers that will fall out of the front. They are used as shims to properly align the center panel at its leading edge to the forward most panel for smooth airflow under the car. Hang on to them until the panel is being installed and installed washers back as needed for proper alignment
