Thanks for clarifying on that CGT. Hopefully soon I will be a CGT owner too...

wow... CGT prices are crashing down back to earth faster than real estate in 2008. just six months ago people were talking about over $1M for these cars and now a low miles single owner car won't even cross $700K...

8 years ago CGT's were half that price - always considered auctions to reflect wholesale prices.

Isringhausen just listed a low mile over 1M.

The 918 energizer bunny fry a few brain cells ...

i'm in the market for a CGT, I just think we are seeing a little correction right now on everything. I followed the Bonhams auction today and there was a 25% no sale rate. Those that sold were under low estimate, and some of the high dollar no sales >$500k were 1/3 to 1/2 below low estimate. There are 24 CGT's on autotrader right now, the most I have ever seen for sale, all by dealers.

These price levels have brought alot of CGT's to market. I think the near term is lower but I am very bullish on CGT long term.

Guessing a bunch of guys are convinced by bored salesman to bring their car in for consignment if nothing else it's cheap winter storage.

I don't think anyone who owns one is going to give it away - local Porsche dealer has requested to bring mine in many times. The new Porsche designed showroom has pictures of the CGT all over the place.

Who knows where the prices will go but finding a good no story CGT down the road is not going to be easy.

Lol you're a one man army trying to keep up the prices.

Prices are down across the board. If you're not selling who cares. Get over yourself.

I sold mine at the peak of the market and fully expect to dip back in about $150k less.

people "talking" about CGT prices at $1mln plus does not mean they were ever there, it was only in owners imaginations, same with many car prices. Marshall Goldman listed a white 94 turbo S flatnose with over 20k miles which was in an accident for $2.4mln a few weeks back to try and pretend like prices were anyplace near there. A silver (good color) 12k mile (lower miles) 94 turbo S flatnose owned by Seinfeld (Seinfeld premium) just hammered for 900k yesterday. What dealers/owners/people "talk " about prices and where prices really are can be quite different. CGT cars have been 650-850 pretty much consistently for 90+% of nice low mile cars for the past 6 months. The only difference as of late is more and more cars are selling at auction so there is more transparency being brought to the market place and a bit harder for people to pretend. 700k still very strong money for a very special car when it comes to a CGT

Someone was willing to pay $700K plus the premium for a total of $770K and you guys think the market for CGT has crashed??? I say that's a pretty good number.

My guess is that there was no money in the room.

Did not say they went up or down - but they certainly didn't go back to the levels of 8 years ago,

You are so full of negativity - did you even read what I wrote.
