New Air Cooled Engine
#46
No -- and I suspect I will not. My comment was related to thinking that the motor might, perhaps, be of "after market" interest to Singer owners as it would get them more HP and more Torque.

Last week, there was a multiday meeting of engineers involved in the 2- and 4-valve engines.
As to the 2-valve motor:
1. After quite a few hours of dyno running, it was taken apart and showed no wear of any significant type which, frankly, pleasantly surprised all.
2. We have designed a way to supply this engine with or without A/C.
3. Engineers believe they have a way to obtain a bit more than he current 450 HP -- with street gas and with a catalytic converter.
4. Work has begun on Bosch MS 6.4 as the ECU.
5. In short order, we will begin another series of dyno runs with this including endurance runs.
6. During the next runs, we will compare Porsche standard and Turbo fans with a new fan design.
Re the 4-valve:
1. More progress in design.
2. Have established 21 steps that must be completed.
3. Again, Bosch MS 6.4 being integrated.
4. More sophisticated testing being instituted.
5. Though one can never be sure, target HP is 500+.

And, assuming it passes the endurance tests, would be happy to supply an engine. In fact, I would think a 964 more aerodynamic than a 964 with a 70's type body.

The 2 valve engine did make it slightly above 450 HP. Generally, however, I do not sell things. The 4-valve, 4-cam, 4-liter, naturally aspirated, high revving, flat 6 engine is well into testing. In excess of 500 HP and torque approximately that of a 991 GT3RS. Also, thus far, heat does not seem to be an issue. You might want to look at the most recent video I put on my Instagram, robertlinton1, as well as future videos. Did not plan to sell it but the positive response I have received (e.g., over 600,000 views on Instagram) suggests enough people might want it including for their restomods or, for that matter, any 911.
An installation kit for the 4-valve would include an ECU, Carbon Fiber Induction System and Carbon Fiber Oil Tank. Other options might include an Inconel/Titanium Exhaust System as well as lightweight pistons, rods, wrist pins, crankshaft, intake and exhaust valves and rocker arms. Of course, selling the 4-valve is still only a thought.

P.S. The 4-valve air cooled engine can be mated to a 5 speed or a 6 speed gearbox, possibly even a PDK. It was entirely developed by a small team I put together, i.e., no F1 team or outside engineering firms.
