There are some great writ ups here on the car so I won't try and go there but I do have a bit of info some of you may find interesting, it surprised me. Having attended a track event at VIR I elected to drive my 918 as opposed to trailering it back. The total distance was approximately 1,300 miles one way. The first day I left Durham NC and drove straight through to Lakeforest on the north side of Chicago. My connections at Lakeforest Sportscars were gracious enough to let me bed the car down for the night with the La Ferraris and other such fine automobiles. My average speed was aweful thanks to all the road construction I encountered. Having said that two things surprised me, the average mileage and how fatigue free my body felt that night. My mind was tired but my body could have gone a few more hours.
