anonymous918, I too am awaiting my Singer build. We are on the same schedule Dec '15 start. I just purchased the donor through Singer. I plan to go for the 4.0L engine. Let he fun planning begin.
I am curious if these ever come up for sale on secondary market and if so what kind of prices they bring compared to cost to build.
To my knowledge besides my Dubai at least three others have been sold, in each case Singer has facilitated the sale. The most recent sale I am aware of is the Gold car(can't remember the name) that was at Pebble last year because I met the buyer at Singer when I was visiting. Price wise going through the build process I don't feel bad about what I paid for Dubai and I don't think the seller felt bad about what I paid him. Singer would have to respond on the other cars but from what I understand all parties involved in the other sales should have been satisfied. I know that none of the 4 cars I am aware of sold for less than the build price.
PS on another note, a major national magazine just finished testing a car with the Ed Pink 4.0 at Laguna and in June they will publish an article on the testing. I won't reveal some of the numbers but only a small number of the newest Supercars can put down the same stats.
Guys, congrats.
I visited a few months ago SVD and loved the passion and the love for detail from the team and the place.
I haven't had really time to follow up but this stays firmly on my radar.
What is the name of the color of that other singer in the other thread? Congratulations, Singers are the best cars in the world second to original Porsches
