I have had a similar weave in my hand and it seems very delicate and particles of debris could be caught in it. As to buckles, definitely out as well as back pocket tools.

The Singer will not be a daily driver. I have no concern for the weave and its durability. The car is exactly how I want it in every detail. It has been a great experience during the build, and I am eager to have and drive it soon. I an always through some clear vinyl covers like my grandparents used to have on their sofa.

With the backing they use, the weave is plenty durable. Although those clear vinyl covers are stylin'.

I am greatly enjoying pictures of the process. Thank you for posting them.

^^^Again, just awesome
And you know I love the color

Having been around Porsche and all its variants for 36+ years Singer is my favorite. I spent several hours with the team at Amelia Island this year, continue to be impressed by the details and quality, from the Ed Pink engine to the perfect alignment of the weave on the dash.

What finish are you doing on the wheels ? (Please tell me silver/anodized finish)

Bill

This is incredible. Though I see a few spots they needed to fill do you think they would make a naked carbon body with just a clearcoat ?

I don't know if this has been posted.
Does this car belong to anyone here?

About Singer, a side news from today :
http://www.lepoint.fr/ces-gens-la/le...060641_264.php
Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), the cousin of Rob (Catherine Wheel), is also commandant of airliner, as well as Boeing 737 and 757 instructor)
..Definitively a very talented family of musicians, and SUPER talented technical guys !
To be back on topic :
Imo, (after 30 years non stop with many 911 as daily) the Singer are among the best Porsche of ever, ..today.

The best 964 resto-mod thus far, maybe. Among the best Porsches ever, no, it is not a Porsche.

Imo, the Singer are **MUCH** more Porsche spirited, ..than many of the latest Porsche models, ..that have more and more a strong VolksWagen perfume !
I.e.: Do you like the Macan, with its single piston rear caliper ? OK, it looks good, it is a "cheap" Porsche, ..and sells like a VW !
But, if you do not qualify a Singer as a Porsche, ..how to you qualify a Macan (..the Porsche best seller) ?
