Baby blue 918 Spyder

Dark colors work well, so does white. Silver works of course, its a Porsche..
This light blue color just doesn't work for me either. I also haven't been a fan of the 918 in yellow.

Compared with the baby blue colour on the GT3, on the 918 looks bad.
Of course that's my personal opinion.

I agree with the darker color. Usually I love this color (mexico or riviera blue) on almost everything Porsche, but it just doesn't do it for me on the 918. I don't love the orange one either.

CF tops spoiler and mirrors with black calipers - change all the acid green scripts to black.
That's a lot of blue - saw a Tiffany Blue Scuderia with white wheels actually looked good.

The liquid colors are the way to go - hopefully a bundle of them are ordered for us 2nd hand bottom fish.
Haven't seen the blue - monopoly money would prefer this look. As far as the price we use liquid pearl paints often during tenant finish work and it takes 6 coats vs 2 at 15 times greater cost per gallon.
No idea why Porsche went off the deep end - 32k would have been plenty offensive.

Nothing 'Baby' about this 'Blue'...
This color is NOT what most observers acquainted with traditional & vintage Porsche colors would call 'Baby Blue'. It's a deeper, medium blue that, as Mile2424 has said, could very well be either 'Riviera Blau' or 'Mexico Blau'. Camera lenses, filters & lighting are notorious for distorting colors on photos...but I am going to guess that this PTS 918 is 'Mexico Blau' and we will await confirmation from the owner or some other official source.
Traditionally, a 'Baby Blue' hue would be associated in a Porsche with 'Gulf Blue' (a vintage color currently available on the 991/981 as PTS) or 'Meissen Blue' (Available in the past as PTS on the 997...and a standard on the 1957-1959 Porsche 356).
