Anyone order a PTS 918?
Has anyone on here ordered a paint to sample 918? If so what color, and to add to the conversation if you were ordering a PTS 918 what color would you do?!
I am told PTS will not be accepted if you don't order before the end of this month, so I am contemplating it. I am due to drive a 918 in a week or so, and will decide then!
Thanks

Mexico blue for me.

Viola with the acid green accent pieces is definitely tempting. But so is Monterey Blue, and lets not forget about Atacama yellow. One of each?
Is anyone thinking about lichtgrun or Acid green?

I am thinking really hard about it. Maybe an old grey color with red interior? Maybe something out of this world like Gelbgrun....signal yellow?! So many options but I really want a one of one car.
Really I am going to test drive it and see. My white CGT is a keeper, and this would be awesome next to it.

I have ordered PTS in blue, but no (offense meant), I'm not saying which shade as I hope it will be a one-off. Requested it last month, received technical clearance today, and they are sending me a sample next week to sign-off.
To add confusion,,,I am then putting a matte black wrap on top, because I saw one in the factory and it looked great. Seeing it completely changed my mind about the matte, and if I had only been planning to keep the car for a couple of years, would have taken wrap only.
However, I still think Matte is too fashionable for a keeper, and now I can peel it off in two or three years and have a "new" car in PTS blue!

one of one will be hard to guarantee since they publish the approved PTS samples from time to time, but I agree it's worth a shot. I am working with a few paint shops to spray the requisite samples for send off to PAG. still wringing hands on the hue and shade...first world problems :-)

Just for ideas on possible colors for the 918, see attached copy of the latest approved (9/09/2014) PTS list for the 991/981/Panamera put together by PCNA for its dealers.
I was told by Melissa Witek nearly one year ago at the 918 Spyder test driving event at The Thermal Club that someone had ordered a 918 on 'Acid Green' PTS and one in a bright 'Orange' PTS color. But when I asked her again at the June 2014 918 test drive event at Sonoma Raceway, Melissa told me that 'Acid Green' had not yet been approved as of that date. But that perhaps the customer would switch over to 'Birch Green/Lichtgrün' since the latter was somewhat similar and PAG had positive experiences with it on the 991/981. If indeed true 'Acid Green' has been now approved for the 918 Spyder, that is great news!
By the way, can someone confirm the exact present cost of PTS on the 918? I thought Melissa had told me it was in the low $20K's (around $24K) back in late 2013.
'Lime Green' is... a 1974 911 color which had color code #137 and is also known as 'Gelbgrün' and 'Green Yellow'. That color is not to be confused with 'Birch Green', which is a 1975 color and had code #253. That other color is also known as 'Lichtgrün' and 'Light Green'. Interestingly, both of these gorgeous vintage colors are presently available via PTS at Porsche under its original color codes. And another famous & historic light green hue, 'Chartreuse' or 'Lindgrün' color code 226 (last photo), is currently under feasibility study at 'Porsche Exclusive'. We are lucky to have this kind of choice today in custom ordering a Porsche.
