CGT Service recommendations
Can anyone recommend a mechanic in the Baltimore area? I'd like to have the yearly inspection, if not the 4 year service done. One of the local dealers said they have a Porsche trained mechanic but also said they mainly do oil changes and anything more than that, they send the car elsewhere.
I am fairly new here and enjoy all the postings and find them very informative. I come from a strong aviation background and am familiar with the importance of annual inspections and such. The selling dealer said all is fine with the car, but as an earlier poster said, I don't feel like it is mine till I have it checked out. Oh, pics coming soon.

Not Baltimore but accessible if you have the inclination:
Porsche of the Main Line (Newtown Square) has 2 or more CGT certified techs.
Dougherty's Automotive (West Chester) is also familiar with the CGT.

I just checked Suncoast. Awfully high for such little metal. I'll check with Porsche. I'll let you know what I find.

Here is the promised picture. The old dog and the new pup. Foghorn Leghorn and Little Chicken Hawk. Owning pre 70's cars, (mostly Italian), buying the CGT was a big departure from my usual. I thought I'd get in the new millennium and stop fighting my stubbornness to new things and their foreign to me ways. A code scanner is on the way as are a couple of other things I had no need for in the past.
I've owned the Ghibli for 30 years and it is one of the most trouble free exotics I've owned. Both cars are fun to drive and the 2 cant be more different. The Ghibli feels like an overloaded truck to the CGT's 'crack-fed wild Arabian colt stung by bees' feel. Wheew!

I agree. To head of any questions about the wires and mags. Not sure what I like the best, the wires or the starbursts. To me, wires give it an older look whereas the mags look more modern. Still not sure though, might leave it this way for a couple more years so that no hasty decisions are made.
