A potential Cayman GT4 is exciting, the 960 is just over the top.

makes one forget all about the 991RS coming out next year. lol

Mid Week Motorsport indicated that there is a rumor that Porsche AG will not have a factory works effort for the 991 RSR for 2016. They will be supporting customer teams and will be developing a new car for 2017. Looks like it might be the 960! In light of the new 991 GT3R being developed for customer sprint racing - it would make sense that for the factory effort they will develop a new car to meet the new ACO/FIA regulations and increased competition for endurance GT racing.

Thanks for the super interesting reading while heading out into the wild with (just...not!) my woman and a pack, but dreaming of the next drive...

Looks like there's some possible movement on the 960 front...

Better get deposits down now because this will be sold out before you know it! I won't be able to afford it, I am already putting my money on the 991.2 GT3; it is my sole focus!

not long after Doug Bray finished the susension on my LS7 powered 968,

i got my feet wet on this wide curvy road up from Doug's house doing these wide, sweeping, 300' burnouts...

the other morning i took her into the parking lot at Dillard's in the wee hours and did some donuts at 55mph in the empty lot.

i wonder if the 960 could surpass the easy feeling of my 3,100lb castoff in full drift.

Incredibly sad news actually. I can only imagine where the competition will be in 10 years time. This better be one heck of a car, if or when it lands. Makes one wonder if there will even be a 918 replacement within that time frame as well.
