FGT was my ultimate lusted-after car hands down. I grew up with American muscle and never saw a Porsche in the flesh until sometime probably in my mid-20’s? (W/exception of one 924 I saw in college). I got into Porsche before I finally bought an FGT (mostly 997 gt’s). The main reason I sold the FGT was because I got a chance to buy a friend’s CGT at a reasonable price with a 1st hand history (and a shrinking footprint to store cars moving from TX to NY). I honestly thought the CGT was a temp fling but one I had to try as a porsche enthusiast. Several years later, I never bought back an FGT but luckily I tried the temp fling with a CGT. Because it’s the only car that remains amongst the dozen or so I owned when I bought it. Temp fling became a potential dead-man’s car? In fairness idk if I ever keep ANY car forever. There are a few I’ve owned I assumed I would absolutely positively NEVER sell and they are all gone (including FGT). Granted a lot of that was due to buying a CGT, but who knows. I never thought in a million years I’d sell my 7-4.0 and one day when I turned the key, I decided unless on track I was just bored w/it. So I stopped thinking about what I might keep long-term or short-term and just drive stuff until/unless i get bored with it. The CGT is still producing goose bumps on street and for longer than anything else I’ve owned. It’s still in my garage for now. Prices seem to affect when I buy but never when I sell; it’s all about whether goose bumps keep happening when I turn the key.

Its arguably the best cold start ever. Its carbon tub...I could go on for awhile. Its analog, its sublime...

Let's see where this one ends... interior seems to be black leather, not dark-grey. Carbon shifter is nice too. Will it go back to the US?

Sold for $1,280,000, which for a US buyer is quite reasonable, even after considering duty and (ocean - not air!) transport.

"Dark Grey" is Porsche-speak for what anyone else would call "black"

Good purchase at $1.4!!

Relative to the yellow $1.2mm car this new sale is much, much better value at $1.4mm.

The yellow car is a wonderful driver maintenance is a big issue. Can't fake the fact that there's really limited Porsche servicing capability in all of Taiwan.

I had really wanted a non-silver car with miles, but thought seven-figures for that car is ill-advised.

Really keeps me wondering about the Collecting Cars platform. It tends to be quite spotty and inconsistent...
