Ferrari counts on those like people and it seems to be working - Ferrari should offer a 100k feather duster with shields in carbon fiber.

The Aperta, sadly, also has its price worsened by an absurd starting MSRP. Compared to the 599 GTO it's based on, it's got a much higher starting point.
For me, it isn't worth it. I much prefer my 599 GTO's over the chopped up SA Aperta.
Same comment applies to the Ferrari F60 America, which is nothing more than a chopped up F12, trying to justify a $2.5m starting MSRP.

hah
I organize local Ferrari Club drives - rain in the forecast everyone cancels and drives must be under 40 miles or we receive complaints followed by less participation.
Ferrari owners for the most part truly can not afford ownership. They buy resale red keep miles extremely low and upon sale state never in the rain never tracked and kept in a controlled environment for those reasons Ferrari should place a sleeping horse vs a prancing horse and ban those buyers. Problem is Ferrari dealers promote low miles and refuse to buy high mileage Ferrari's.
Green L - agree the cosmetic limited editions are over priced but the market absorption appears infinite.

I'm a die hard Ferrari enthusiast, too. I'll pay market prices for an Enzo, but I'll definitely never pay Enzo prices for an F60 America. The car just doesn't do it for me.
I'm a bit weird, but the Superamerica, the SA Aperta, and the F60 America, don't appeal to me from a visual standpoint. They offer no performance increases, so if the visuals don't do it for me, then it's even more so not worth it to me.
$2.5m for an F60 America is just nuts. I can customize LaFerrari to Jupiter and back, and it would've been below that brand new (if I managed to secure an allocation, at the time). Granted, it's likely every F60 America buyer already has / had LaFerrari on order.

Oh, most certainly. Completely agree.

Ferrari's benchmark marketing still a fan but the competition isn't going away - turbo's wet clutch is going to test their ability to maintain the ole boys club.

I don't recall ever getting an engine model, although maybe my memory is foggy. Anyway, I don't now seem to have it if I ever received it -- and I didn't sell it or give it to anybody.

Unbelievable how many times this car has been traded in the last year.

Perfect condition to sit and be properly feather dusted for another 10 years
263 miles in 10 years - poor banana.

I really should've grabbed it pre-December 2014, and gave it a much better fate than the one it is suffering now.
Something slightly funny... Remember car #1013? Fayence Yellow, that was sitting at Dream Makers Automotive since early March, originally listed at $896k, then upped to $950k, and continued to sit?
It's now at CNC Motors, listed at $1.3m as of today: http://www.cncexotics.com/detail-200...-13766513.html
Here's the original Dream Makers listing: http://www.dreammakersautomotive.com...r-convertible/
This car has not set any market price at all. It's just been trading between dealers at higher prices each time, as far as I can tell.
In December 2014, Top Gear Imports passed it to Marshall Goldman for ~$650k. In February 2015, Marshall passed it along to Dream Makers for ~$765k, they listed it at $896k in March, then upped it to $950k in May. Now, as of today (June 2015), it's been passed to CNC for an unknown price, and they've listed it at $1.3m.
This isn't how markets are made. But, then again, with such scarce supply, there's no such thing as a true market.
