I'm hoping and praying that I'll go to sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow and check Rennlist and find a post from "ben in lj".

If true, Rennlist has suffered a real loss, and the board won't be the same. My thoughts and prayers to his family. He touched a lot of people.

Please say it ain't so.

Not the kind of news you ever like to read about. So very sad and unfortunate for both guys -- didn't know them, but reading post from those who did, they were clearly class act enthusiasts. My thoughts and prayers are with their families.

Since I posted this thread earlier this afternoon, I have read many nice things about Ben and I felt as if I got to know him better. Then, when I realized that it was "ben in lj", it really hit me hard and it sadden me to know that we lost one of our own. I had read his posts his plenty of times, and he was a true enthusiast. He had 1,598 posts on Rennlist, and had posted as recently as yesterday. God bless you, Ben, and your passenger, too. My condolences to both families.

wow.. I too have never met ben and just heard about his crash on another forum. He truly was the person on this board who gave me the most information when we bought our car. He will be very missed in the community. RIP ben!
