Where the GT's are made? Factory in Leipzig
I visited Porsche factory in Leipzig, Germany last friday. Also the production line where Carrera GT-s are made. Cayenne's are assembled in the same factory.
Few facts:
Staff assembling Cayennes: 85, 150 cars per day
Staff assembling Carrara GT's: 75, 2 cars per day
What shocked most:
Absolute cleanness - light floor, absolutely no stains or any impurities;
Quietness;
Smallness: only 15 000 square meters total area!
Jaak

Jack,
I was also there in October and yes, the factory is so clean you could eat off the floor, look forward to seeing your pics, I agree with Rufie, how did get the oppty to take them, they're very strict about this, unless you were outside the factory.

There were good pics in Christopherous a few months back.
Thought is was kinda funny to see the guys throwing pepper
together on the line 40 feet away.
Just my opin but...... they should have found some way to
assemble GT @ Zuffenhausen (rather than the new truck plant .
