2017 Macan delivery PROBLEM??
Hi Gang, our 2017 Macan S has been stuck at the port of San Diego for 2 weeks and counting. My dealer seems to be clueless. First I heard the CA smog Little Napoleons hadn't yet certified the 2017s for importation. Then I heard from another dealer that PCNA might be fixing recall issues before releasing the vehicles.
So...???...which is it? Is anyone else twiddling their thumbs waiting for a Macan S or other Porsche, stuck at the port?? I'm not happy.

Same story for our Macan GTS. Car has been at the port in San Diego for several weeks, ETA quoted by dealer was originally 3/25, and the dealer has been pretty much useless, just saying it's out of their hands. #frustrating

It is most likely due to the CARB certification......

Not good to hear. If any of you are on a lease, I would call Porsche Finance and get them to waive lease payments until car is delivered.

I got an update tonight and was told all 2017 Macan models are on hold until Porsche receives CARB certification. I have seen some people post that they have received a 2017 Macan so I'm not sure how that happen. My SA's wife has had her 2017 on hold at the port for over 5 weeks so he is checking with Porsche several times a day but they are at the mercy of CARB. So the wait continues. . . .

I don't know exactly where my GTS is today, but when I ordered it in February in Michigan, the delivery date given was 5/13. Since then the date has been moved UP twice, first 5/6 and now it's 4/22. Hopefully I didn't jinx it.

"CARB" is the California Air Resources Board, so if you're in Michigan, it seems unlikely you will have a CARB problem.

States adopting the California standards include Arizona (2012 model year),[1] Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico (2011 model year), New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, as well as the District of Columbia.[2][3] Such states are frequently referred to as "CARB states" in automotive discussions because the regulations are defined by the California Air Resources Board.

Today I stopped by one of our San Diego dealers and had a chat with a "manager" and long time employee. He assured me it was the CARB issue for our Macans, and his info is they will be released next week. He also said that the 911 models have been cleared, and their cars are now showing up and becoming available to customers.

I have a 2017 Macan S on order, it has been stuck at the Rhode Island port since mid march. Most of the NE is there i have heard. It was March allocated. At the time the dealership said Porsche said first week of April. I called today to find out the dealerships has no further information, only to say that they have heard it could be closer to the END of April!!! I also heard rumor of something to do with emissions. The fact that its a new year and the ongoing VW news, has caused the US to tighten testing. Porsche NA and our gov't need to get their act together. At the vey least Porsche NA, should put out a memo meanwhile.
