Default "Stop Sale" on Macans?

We have a Macan S on order which is currently en route to San Diego on November 3. I called my dealer in SoCal and was told Porsche USA has placed a "Stop Sale" on all unsold and undelivered Macans until fixes are made with some fuel line issue.

How accurate is this? Has anyone heard of Porsche placing a stop sale on the Macans?

http://www.macanforum.com/forum/orde...ny-recall.html

Troubled German carmaker Volkswagen recalled 58,881 luxury Porsche cars globally on Friday for possible leaks in the low-pressure fuel line inside the engine compartment.

Volkswagen said the measure was purely precautionary and added that only gasoline engines were affected. The recall applies to Macan S and Macan Turbo vehicles.

Europe's biggest carmaker has been plunged into crisis by admitting it cheated diesel-emissions tests in the United States, putting it at risk of billions of dollars of fines and unseating its chief executive.

Separately, Porsche Cars North America said 21,835 of the affected cars were in the United States and 3,490 in Canada.

The world wide total of recall is something like 58,000 cars. Given they only build 15,000 Macan's per year I'd think the recall is all S's and Turbo's around the world. I'm expecting to receive the notice any day.

Porsche's financial report for 2014 says they sold 44,636 Macans for that year. They've always been targeting to build 50,000 Macans a year and I think they're planning to expand production because this model is so popular. The 58,000 figure would still affect almost every gasoline-powered Macan sold to date.

Looks like I'd better check the mailbox as well. Local dealer closed a few months back now I slog 90 minutes north to get work done. Car was just in 2 weeks back for a few minor items sorry this didn't happen sooner, or not at all for that matter.

Just left the dealership and was told all macans produced to date. There is also a recall on the pcv which needs replaced. Dealer ordered parts for me, just happen to be having my 911 serviced and asked about this.

My Macan S is in port at Rhode Island and being held hostage until the new part is installed. Dealership called today to inform me of the delay.

What's PCV? Pressure control valve? Is this for Macan as well?

You can't purchase a Macan right now. Dealer confirmed this today.
A stop sale is correct.

It looks like Porsche hasn't gotten around to recalling my car yet. Probably due to limited parts supply and wanting to service new, unsold vehicles first. You can look your car up at this website if you have your VIN.
