Although the GTS wasn't available when we developed this suite, the figures we found when testing the S should be similar to the GTS.

That track edition certainly sounds beastly.

Certainly. I'm a fan of the Touring Edition myself - the specific x-pipe compliments the Macan's overall demeanor wonderfully.

A GTS received the Touring treatment and sounds phenomenal!

Equip your Macan with one of our exhaust configuration via an AWE dealer or direct!

^^ Uhh I think my GTS needs the same treatment. So track = axleback and touring = catback? Hows the volume increase over the stock sport exhaust from the GTS? Might need to make a trip to Achtuning for this soon...

I agree! Touring is essentially a downpipe-back configuration, and Track is an axle-back.

Here's words from another owner (user Wndcttr on MacanForums), albeit it an S and not a GTS, who is running the Touring Edition on his Macan:

"It is loud on startup until the revs settle and the engine has heated up. I have had a few stares from people in my area and an anonymous note stuck to my garage door asking to have my car fixed.
But i don't leave for work until after 8am, so IMO people will have to live with a burp every morning from my car.
I have to listen to their kids and pianos at night when their windows are open...

But you will not be sneaking out of the house early in the morning without waking up the family. My wife says the house shakes a bit when I fire up the car and leave for work.

The sound and dynamics while driving is excellent. But if you enjoy certain types of music while driving without having to crank up the radio, then this is probably not for you.
I want my car to sound like a car, especially when getting off the gas before taking a turn. The sound this exhaust makes in regular mode beats anything stock produced (drove that for almost 1.5years) in sport or sport+

In sport mode it comes alive with lots of dynamics to the sound. I took the car to the dealership a few months after installation and let my SA drive it. He said it sounded much better than PSE.

When I placed my initial order PSE was not available, had it been I would probably have added it. Adding PSE later made no sense to me since total cost would have been 2x of AWE and I couldn't justify that.

I am also guessing that you end up driving less aggressively because you don't have to pressure the car to produce a great sound.

And so far I have gotten two complements on how the car sounds from complete random people. One was a guy in a modded Miata who did a two-thumbs up as I pulled up next to him at a red light. The other someone standing next to his truck as I parked. He literally said that he heard a great sounding car pulling up, and was not expecting it to be an SUV."

I completely agree with that. The track system is nice and loud but the touring is a perfect balance. Its really not that loud insdie the cabin, but outside it sounds amazing.

Sorry if this was mentioned elsewhere that I missed, but does this still allow the PSE to work properly? Like can I quiet it down a bit if I decide to close the valve? Or will it be "always on" so to speak?
