Engine Re-build Opinions and Options
In the market for an engine rebuild - 2009 997.1 CUP, currently producing 420HP at the wheel. Motor runs very strong and shows no signs of failure. Still though it is time. We did a lot of testing in January and February anticipating a rebuild in this window of time.
Seeking YOUR opinions and recommendations about the choices which include;
PMNA
Autometrics
BBI
Others
Please feel free to contact me via messenger or at john@mauromotorsport.com. Decision will be made this week and the rebuild must be complete on/before May 8th.
As we know this is not an inexpensive under doing. Thanks to all who provide insight.

I think Autometrics is your best bet for price and quality work. an additional bonus for us is they are at alot of events we do and are always glad to help out

Have you done a leak down, compression check and had the oil analyzed?
Not sure of the hours on your engine but, I was at the track this weekend with a 997.1 Cup owner that has well into the 100+ hour range and the engine shows no signs of being tired according to his oil analysis and compression and leak down tests. I realize the maintenance on our cars should be preemptive and checking the previously mentioned items is not a substitute for an engine teardown and inspection.
