Keep the one going up, get the 991 when you can. Great early 7,s out there these days begging to be raced for very reasonable $...,another different thought that moves you toward the new platform, sequential non abs etc...all solid bushes .very fast and reliable.
The 991 will be readily available, caveat being if you are buying new which of course is quite different non metzger etc...those will get chased for awhile on a supply and demand basis alone.
.02$ of course

Thanks everyone for the advice on here and the PMs this is a great group. We are currently evaluating all options and I may end up with both in the end as I love that 996. Ed you are correct I was a mad man last year. Drove all through the winter months on every track day I could and ran SCCA, PCA and NASA. By the time I hit last race in November I was pretty tired and obviously so was my engine

The deed is done. Flew to Vegas today and bought a 2016 991. Had to hit the craps table first so I could afford it Now I have much more time and no pressure to sort out the 996 engine. Love that car and will keep her for a while. Thanks for all the guidance.

I am considering it and I am staring at the forms right now. I had planned on running SCCA Majors and PCA races for a total of about 13-14 race weekends this year but now I have to reevaluate the whole season and maybe prioritize that series

Like livery and black wheels. See you on track if you make it east for any PCA races.

Thanks I think I might leave livery alone this year and come up with a new one next year.

Want for a 996 cup is huge! All black 991 looks great, I bet you can't wait to try it out.

I love the old one also and driving it is like dancing and yes really looking forward to driving the new one. Can't wait to get it shipped out. If I had the time I would drive out and pick it up myself to get it here faster
