Testing the waters: market price for low hour 3.6L cup motor
I recently changed to a "detuned" 4.2L motor to improve torque for NASA ST1 competition. I'm considering selling my 3.6L motor to offset part of the costs. The motor has 14 hours on it since it was rebuilt by Aasco. Strong as hell.
My question for now is what's the market price for a low hour 3.6L motor? The last one I could find for sale on Rennlist was listed at $28K for a 3.6L engine with 35 hours on it (https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...-35-hours.html).

I was offered a "new" not rebuilt 3.6 Cup zero time motor for $30k last year.
Glen, sold a 5 hour PMNA 3.6 rebuild about 18 months ago for around $25k.
Orbit has one for sale with about 30 hours on the rebuild for under $20k if I remember correctly.
The value of your motor will also depend on what was replaced during the rebuild. PMNA stock rebuilds seem to maintain the highest value.
