Default WTB - 964 Cup R&P

I'm looking for a Motorsport ring and pinion for a 964. Anyone know where I can possibly locate one?

There is a difference btw. the Cup r&p and what you may want.

The USA Cups came with the 3.444 R&P because they also have a G50/10 transmission. First and Second gear in the G50/10 are different than the G50/05 and /03, using the G50/04 first and second. These differences are minor. Thank G. Ring for this quote.

If you're looking for a 4.0, then either a Mo-sport or Guard part will do you fine.

I would not recommend using an 8/32 R&P if you are concerned about longevity.

Default 8/32 Ring and Pinion

Lifetime is always a concern. I took apart the gearbox in question and found an original 9/31 ring and pinion with a failing pinion shaft. I attached a pic that shows the loss of metal on the tooth. The gearbox was working fine, no strange sounds and probably would have gone another 20k miles or more driven on the street.

I really don't know how long a properly set-up ring and pinion will last in a street driven car but I can tell you exactly how long they will last in 964/993 RSR's, 993GT2 racing cars, and other racing variants, 996 GT3RS, 997 RSR, 997 Cup, etc. Rule of thumb, 80 hours if maintained, around 40 hours if not maintained.

Also included a picture of the Guard diff going in.

Just a heads up but we have never made a G50 5spd 4.00. We are considering making one in the future but for now we have no factory units and haven't made any of our own...
