Default 997 Cup Tub Build?

I have a chance to get a 997 cup car tub from a local race shop for pretty much scrap value. Has anyone else built a cup car from ground up to run just track days? I know it probably wont be cheap at all. Just seeing what others think.
Thanks

would assume its a lot cheaper to just buy a complete 997 Cup . Motor and trans alone will be much more then you think let alone everything else needed

There is a lot more to it than would appear, there will be parts NLA and cant find used. There will be a lot of time spent sourcing things and then generationally trying to get it all to work (ie. correct ecu for correct gen motor, wiring harness, etc). And then of course once you go down that rabbit hole, gearbox is out - might as well service it too and that will add-up with those types of things.

Best advice is above, buy a running car and save the headache. Especially with where 997.1 prices are at, cannot go wrong for a factory build spec car under $100k.

Definitely cheaper to buy a complete factory car, Ive built a couple. One I wanted a Cup S which was never brought into the States and the other was a 996 that everyone told me "it uses street GT3 parts" you will end up being shocked at PMNA prices for simple plastic parts
