Engine and Intercooler
The new Porsche 718s have two heat exchangers (radiators) at the front of the car. One on the drivers side and one on the passengers side. I am assuming one is for the AC and the other may be for the engine?
The large intakes near each rear wheel arch feed the engine intake and two heat exchangers used for the liquid-to-air intercooler. Each has a fan that can draw air when required. It seems like the fans would also help to cool the engine but that air would be at a higher temperature after going through the heat exchanger.
Is one of the heat exchangers at the front of the car for the engine? Also, do the fans that help to cool rear heat exchangers also provide cooling to the engine?
