Default 981 cayman purchase advice

I am considering purchasing a '14 cayman and have been browsing for a while. can you give your feedback on price/value. Situation: 2014 CPO from a private party for $40k. Optioned out to an msrp around $70k. 25k miles, PDK, infotainment with Bose, 20" Carrera wheels, bi-Zenon headlights, leather package w/sport seats.

From my research it seems like a fair price. I also see a lot listed for sale between 41-45k out there and want to make sure I am buying it "right". Those are mostly dealers and less optioned. It will be a second car for me. Thanks much!

That sounds like a really good deal actually. You're right about the $40k-$45k price point. I bought a base 2014 and they were ALL at that price point; it was just a matter finding a 981 with the options I wanted.

I havent been watching the base market but what i will say is since it is CPO already it doesnt matter that it isnt at a dealer. Cheaper and more options seems like a no brainer.

Thanx Mark, looking for the ONE video I have with you riding with me (2008?) at Summit in my D Stock SC, all I remember is you laughing (as we exited (T5) the carousel drifting!), saying you love riding with racers, and having fun.. You need to come back racing!

Price sounds very good. It's actually very close to the end of lease buyout for a '14 CS with that equipment.
