I cannot speak to a 718 but I used a 944 Turbo S as a daily driver for 12 years and put 90000+ miles on it. Drove in all kinds of traffic and all kinds of weather. No matter how bad of a day I had it was always nice to get into the 944 and drive home. Again I can't speak to the 718 but in 90000 miles I had very few ( about 4) unscheduled shop visits with the 944.

The Cayman is an excellent daily, particularly with PDK (I have driven a 718S and own a 981GTS) - I DD it most of the time. The 981/718 has very very high torsional rigidity, this means the suspension can be very compliant. Make sure you get sport chrono, PASM and PTV.

Suggested colour is easy, racing yellow for a 718 and guards red for a 991. If you go for either of these colours you will need black contrasting highlights - if you do this the Cayman "pops"

I DD my base 981 with x73 sport suspension and it's no problem. The car is just a pleasure to drive and is in no way punishing.
