Default Tire size for 07 Cayman S

I have had good results in the past with Sumitomo ZIII. Now daily driving an 07 Cayman S with 19" wheels. Tire Rack lists the following sizes available re Sumitomos...245/35/19 and 285/35/19; orig equip sizes are 235/35/19 and 265/35/19. Will the Sumitomo Tire sizes listed above fit?

I think 285s will be tight in the rear unless you have spacers.
On my car with stock 265s and 14mm spacers inside tire clearance is about a 1" to the strut. Without the spacer the clearance would likely be 5-10 MM at most.
I think on my car that 285s might rub if I didn't have spacers, but I have also found that not all 285 section width tires are the same overall width. The Continental Conti that I am running seems to have a very large side bead that sticks out way past the wheel rim which helps keep the rim away from curbs
