Default GT-3 LCA conversion question

When changing to 996 GT-3 LCA's to increase camber in the front, but keeping the stock struts/springs, how much camber increase do you get? I am thinking about -2.0 for a mixed use car running NT-01's for AutoX and DE's and stock tires on the street. Will I need shims to get there or do just the arms themselves get you there?

this is for a base 987.2 cayman. TIA

You'll need shims to get there. The amount seems to vary some by car. On my Cayman R we needed 10mm total on each side to get about 2.5 deg neg. The R has a lower ride height to start with. On a 986 Boxster with M030 springs I had about 7mm per side to get to neg 1.5 deg.

Thanks Zedcat. I am thinking if I get a set of 10mm and 4mm that should get me to at least -2.0 and up to -2.5 hopefully.

the shims are expensive and I am trying to not pay for ones I wont need. Hard to say though considering each side wont be exactly the same.

I did this conversion on my 981 with standard suspension. 11mm got me to -2 deg.

If you get a Porsche specialist to align the car, they may have the proper shims in stock and only charge for what you need.

^^^ This, they should have them in stock in the required sizes.

Cheers
