3500 rpm torque dip in cayman S
I'm coming the nissan VQ37 motor which has no dip in the middle of the useful power band. Any suggestions how to get rid of that dip in torque (other than stay over 4000rpm)

po does not know the meaning of torque. their thought is to rev the snot outta every gear and hope you get to the curve first. the only way to keep up with GM ls motors ......is to buy one

I'd suggest if you're feeling a dip at 3,500 rpm, your motor is not running right. Any fault codes? Dirty MAF sensor? Old plugs? Clutch slippage? All maintenance up to date?

Sorry Lex, you're very much mistaken. Check your owners manual, you'll see the torque HP curve listed there. You can feel the dip in 2-3 year old caymans. You can feel it in new off the lot caymans (and boxsters, same behavior ....)

Yep, I notice it too. It's not too bad but there's not much you can do about it unless you can get a tune (good luck with that).
I usually manage it by driving through it on the way up the range.
