Just bought my 987.1 CS in June. My only regrets are not getting sport chrono and bi-xenon.

That said I am VERY pleased that I got the sport design 19" wheels. They make the car look much less like "my first Porsche" and, I think but cannot confirm, will add resale value based on aesthetics alone. So, look for wheels. They add a lot.

For me it would be in this order;

09 or newer (this is mostly a resale issue in my opinion. I have owned an 08 base cayman and 911 and never had a problem with either.)
S
Base
19 " wheels
Sports seats
Heated seats
Bose
S-Chrono
PASM
Auto ac

Can't believe I forgot to mention: SPORT STEERING WHEEL. The skinny, slippery one in my is one of the few points of imperfection in the car; and swapping in a sport wheel is not an inexpensive endeavor. If you get a chance to feel and/or drive both, you will immediately see what I mean.

Just received a recovered standard wheel from DCT. Looks pretty good, black perforated sides, smooth black top and bottom, red stitching. The diameter is about 4mm more, not offensive. You can find DCT on ebay. I think it was around $400, much cheaper than factory.

The '09 2.9L base only has 265hp while the '08S 3.4 has 295hp (both at 29##lbs), do you say that based on the IMS no longer used in the 2009?

Default Must vs. Nice-To-Have

S Version
Bi-Xenon
Sport Steering Wheel most definitely!
Sport Chrono
Sport Seats
19's not absolutely necessary (to one's preference) but nice
