Default Reliability and high mileage

Hey guys. I was thinking about getting a 987 type S as a daily to play with, but wanted to see if there were any known issues and how are the high mileage ones doing as long as reliability. What expensive maintenance should I expect also.

In the thread "post a picture of your cayman" there is a picture of one with 170,000 miles.
The driver posted a picture of the car and odometer.

Wondering the same thing... I am looking at 06-07 models with 60k+ miles. What would your recommend looking at with higher miles? Does it need suspension refresh already? Shocks/struts is easy, but what about bushings, control arms, etc?

Thanks!

My '07 S was fantastic through 88k miles before I sold it.

I purchased it as a CPO car with around 62k as a daily driver. A minor window alignment issue, which was was covered under CPO, was the only time it was in the shop for anything other than routine maintenance.

Great car.

Mine only had 50k miles on it, but I had radio, hvac unit, alternator, tensioner, and interior door handle failures/replacements under the CPO warranty.
