Default engine noise cayman s

Hello,

I'm new here, so hi everybody !!

I have an issue with my Porsche Cayman S 2006.

Since few weeks I have a metallic noise coming from the engine. It happens when driving, but is not always present, only at a specific rpm and depending on the engine load.

For instance I hear it very well in 4th gear at 75mph, but it can be heard on every gear, even at idle power, cold or warm engine.

To identify the origin of the issue, I opened the engine window in front and remove the driving belt. The noise is still here as you can see in this video:

It feels that it is located in this area (maybe I'm wrong).

Do you have an idea?

How many miles? Pull off oil filter and check filter.

Default Take it to ER immediately

That sounds like a dagger tapping on the heart of your wallet. It sounds like a loose pulley but the only things that move at idle are the timing chains n the big parts. I'd check oil filter first, if no direction given from that, check chain tensioners. Too low mileage for IMSB in this model. It might be a spun rod brg. Good luck to ya
