Default Exhaust noise in cabin

I just picked up my new 2015 Cayman GTS today and noticed an exhaust noise, resonance, or drone sound especially around 70-75 MPH or 2100-2300 rpm's. I have read on other forums the possibility of putting stuffing in a porting hole around the engine compartment. Does anyone have any input or fix to this problem.

I am also interested to learn if there's a solution to this issue ... been living with it for the entire time I've owned the car.

Two things:

1) Don't recall a droning sound at ~70 mph. Are you in sport or sport+ mode? I generally ride in "normal" (default) mode when on the highway.

2) I don't believe the Cayman has a "porting hole" from the engine to the passenger compartment.

I'm not sure if I hear it at 70mph. Any speed that puts the rpm's in the 2000-2800 range elicits the sound. It doesn't matter if it's sport or normal mode. Thank you for your response. Besides that, I love the car!

I too usually leave it in "normal" mode when cruising at speed; reserving "sport" for most other times.

The drone at ~ 70 is far more pronounced in sport mode when the engine is under slight load; as when going up a slight incline.
