Default Cayman R Registry

I have you in the data base. I think that car was also located in Atlanta at some point.
Thanks for your support and welcome to the Cayman R club.

You are most welcome Ryan! Yes, my car had two previous owners in Hawaii. The second owner relocated to Atlanta a year or so ago. He traded the Cayman R on a Ford F150 Raptor. I'm glad he did. The car is amazing and has only 5400 miles. I can't imagine the two previous owners did not enjoy this car more. I'll probably put >5000 miles on it in the next 6 months!!!

Hi mjw353! I know that car and the dealership well. Nice car with nice mods, but I thought they might have a hard time selling the car with the Sparco seats and full harnesses. I'm glad to see they retrofitted the Sport bucket seats for you (hopefully at no cost). It's funny that I just bought my R at a dealership in Atlanta and had it shipped to Pittsburgh and you just bought a Pittsburgh car and drove it to Atlanta (on it's way to LA).

Im so glad that this thread is still alive. I could give you at least 15 R`s from German owners... but somehow my post got no feedback at all. R drivers seem to be very private and just enjoying their toy in privacy. At PFF we have the big meeting in June every year. Last year i asked the community to join me and to roll in with a few R`s... no reaction at all. In 2015 1 other anonymous R was there (over 700 Porsches at the meeting). Ill try to re- advert this thread to the R owners in Germany. It cant be, that the data here stays so US- focussed.
By the way. More data from my side: I own the "oldest" R so far concerning your data. I own the car a little oder 2 years now. It came from a dealer from Dortmund. A company from Düsseldorf leased my R for 3 years before i buyed it. It had 32.000 km on the clock when i got my grip on it. Now its very close to 60.000 km. Untill last month, i was a daily driver in my R. (Summer, Winter, snow... no matter) Now its time to give it a lill rest and to drive it only for pleasure.
I enjoy every km in it. Will never sell it if possible. The new turbo- era at Porsche makes me puke and i wish i was born a lill earlier. No mods so far (seems rare compared to the mod- friendly US- owners). The only thing i did to my baby was a 2- step mod of my suspension data. Its now fully trimmed for cornering. Seems legit when you drive 95% country roads.
What else can i say? I never thought that this model would be that rare when i got interested in it. I just thought back then that i want a daily racecar. Reliable... with buckets and a manual shifter and quite low weight. And here i am: Looking around at new cars and feeling extremely happy that i got my grip on a modern but quite old school car that will stay at my side as long as possible. I created the R thread at PFF. The R tag seems to have some magic in it. Just take a look at the 911 R now. So hyped. So expensive. We truly have an awesome piece of car here. I love it with every fibre in my body. Never wanna change to something else. I miss an option for a carbon fibre roof and easy to install makrolon windows, though

^^^ Beautiful R. Mine is the same color combo although I have the silver wheels and no buckets I've been thinking about going with a set of black R wheels or maybe getting a set of satin black BBS wheels. It would be great to see some additional pictures of your car to see how the black wheels work with the silver accents. I need those seats too!

Thanks logan

Ill try to update this thread with new pics. I was never the picture- guy and my car i quite dirty most of the time. Here... in the curvy and famous Sauerland we have lots more rain than sunshine

Ill keep you in touch. Promised.

BTW: Do not perform the same fault that i did... whole, matte black wheels do look ****ty on any car. You don`t see the difference between where the rim ends and where the tire starts. A black mass that i definately cannot recommend you. I got OZ winter wheels that will show you this effect quite well. Ill post em soon.
