I sold the car, and I believe the new owner does not participate in forums (although I'm not positive). He is a collector and plans to keep the car for a very long time.

Hi guys....I've reported my Cayman R before but wanted to update the location of the car so that the U.S./Canada numbers can be kept accurate. U.S. loses a Cayman R, Canada gains one. I am still the first owner of the car which was delivered in Washington state and kept most recently in Arizona.

Now if anyone ever wants to know how painful and expensive it is to import a German built car from the U.S. to Canada - just hit me up. Closed carrier from Phoenix to the sufferance warehouse in Montreal, flat bed carrier from there to my home (it being January when it arrived....). So far I have paid the federal duties and taxes on the car and paid the RIV inspection fees. What's next is both inspections (RIV & SAAQ) after March 15th (when snow tires are no longer required by law). Then registration will entail the payment of the Québec sales tax.
