So I'm a bit perplexed. I went to my dealer here in Colorado with check in hand and he told me i had zero chance of getting one unless I owned a 918. I told him I thought he was crazy.
How are you guys getting on the list?

I sent an email. SA followed up, I built the car online with what I wanted, sent deposit. Was told today July completion and August delivery. No big deal if longer.

I can't understand how Porsche introduces 2 cars at the same time with LWB as standard and/or ordered in a very high % of cars and not have enough supply.
Call supplier, order more LWB's
BTW I have the LWB in my 991 GT3 and love them. Not as good as the CGT buckets I had (and unfortunately sold) but miles ahead of the standard sport seats

I am more than happy to wait, but dealer then says ok i will have to put you to the back of the list.
so its pretty much get a car with out buckets or not at all!? WTF

If any dealer SAs are reading this and have a GT4 allocation open up because of the LWBS shortage, I'll grab it and want only the ordinary options. PM me please if u need a quick GT4 deposit and order confirmation.

what is the resale hit for the sofa vs buckets on a Cayman R?
you may not be able to sell it as fast on the used market but if the financial hit is equal to the cost of the buckets at point of sale, it's really a non issue. Enjoy the car if you don't mind the regular seats.
By the time you are selling I cannot see the buckets discounting the car more than $5k. My bet is it's even less difference.

Now a November car. PCNA not allowing any cars with CF seats to be built in July. No longer a July build. Some lucky bugger gets moved ahead to July.

Hi Guys,
I spend my time scanning the 991 GT3 forum so my apologies for not doing a deeper dive into the Cayman GT4 situation....
I have a Cayman GT4 allocation available, V200. PM me if you're interested.
Thanks
