You can absolutely track / race a PDK car. Having sport plus is required for sharp shifts and to hold the car in gear to redline at all times (e.g. No need for kick down at exit of a slow corner, etc.). We club race a 2012 R with PDK, and a Gaurd LSD. The car was built by BGB so it has their cooler. We've done 6 hour enduros without an issue. We raced at Homestead last weekend and it was 95 degrees - no issues. I would not hesitate to do it.

I used to have a 981 boxster s with pdk and now have a 991 gt3. I loved my boxster but there is no comparison, its just not even close

Having said that, I used to track my boxster 10-15 a year and the pdk worked FLAWLESSLY. I couldn't imagine better, that is until I got my gt3.

Regardless, the cayman s with PDK does great on the track and takes a beating.
