Default GT4 - Steering Wheel

I visited the Geneva Motor Show last weekend to check out the GT4 ... amongst others!

The GT4 show car had a center marker on the steering wheel which is normally reserved for RS variants. I don't think I've seen this in any other pictures. Can anyone explain this or is it possible this was a remnant of something Porsche tried on the car, like the door handle straps, but subsequently dismissed?

Saw that as well and was thinking, just maybe, it was going to be offered. When the recent press cars did not have the center stripe my hopes were dashed. I just read on another forum that word from Melissa Witek of PCNA is that the center stripe is reserved for RS cars only.

A question for those who've used a steering wheel with a colored center stripe. Is it distracting or annoying at all having that noticeable stripe regularly moving in you line of sight? The colored stripe certainly looks sharp and offers that motorsport connection, and is likely beneficial on track, but is it good for road use?

You never notice it on the road.

You can get your wheel recovered in alcantara with a color match stripe from the guy in TX. Cost is around $500 with core exchange...I'm thinking about it.

Are you going to be at Sebring this week with your Cayman?
