2015 Used GTS with under 100 miles and large discount
Have an opportunity to purchase this car. It's been PPI. At a Porsche dealer. Only option missing back up camera and front sensors.
What am I missing? Asking well under cost.
Why wouldn't dealer auction car and get more money?
Plan to use as daily driven even in snow.
Appreciate thoughts.

Clocked, need more details. A large discount is relative, there are 4 options that don't do much for me but put the price in the stratosphere - Infotainment is about $4K, Power 18 way is about $4K, PCCBs are about $9K, and GTS Interior Pkg is about $3.5K. A GTS with all the stuff is about $95K, but used it would only be worth about $75 - $80k. So it depends on what options. I am aware of one used one that was traded to the dealer at $72k wholesale and subsequently retailed for $76K in 2 days.
The GTS Cayman is a wonderful car. I have one.

Is deciding that you would rather have a gt4 a personal matter? If so I may be in that boat. My dumb *** has logged 850 sub 4k rpm break in miles and I already am working on a plan to get out of the gts and into the gt4.

Just an update, I did purchase this 2015 GTS which only had 45 miles on it. Person bought it and a week later decided to sell it. The discount off Msrp was 18%. Very well optioned. Only item it didn't have was sensors and back up camera just like my GT3.
Why I didn't hold off for the GT4? I have a 2015 GT3 that I have not even started up (live in Chicago) I wanted a car I can drive all year round and the GTS fits better than the GT4.
Car should arrive late this week or next.
If anyone has a GTS would appreciate any feedback on the car.

Congratulations on closing a fantastic deal. Someone else's mis-step saved you a BUNCH of money.
I upgraded from a '11 Cayman S to a new '15 GTS last Friday. Since I do only the occasional track day, the GTS makes more sense for me than the undoubtedly fantastic GT4.
Nicely optioned (including the parking sensors and backup camera), I'm using the GTS as my daily driver and loving every moment thus far (over 350 miles in 4+ days).
The sharp handling along with the responsive engine and PDK makes for multiple grins every mile. I also appreciate the superior ergonomics, leather and alcantara interior; and the ability to customize so many readouts on the secondary screen in the instrument binnacle.
I'm still fiddling with various settings and adding miles until break-in is complete and I feel comfortable taking it to the local track.
I agree that the GTS makes for a wonderful daily driver and wish you all the best.

MSRP was $97k. The car is at my local dealer getting winter tires and wheels on. I will pick it up on Thursday (only supposed to be 30 below with wind chill). Friday it gets buffed out and then I leave for out of town and will have the clear bra done when I am gone.
Thus give me a few weeks to provide my impressions but just the small driving I have had, it feels very tight to the ground and very similar to my GT3. I will hold off any further comparison to my GT3 at this time. I do think if you can't get a GT4, this may the closest thing you can come to.

Thought I would post my review of the GTS. have had the car for several weeks and some of the pros:
1. Louder than the stock exhaust on my 2015 GT3 and louder than the 2014 911 S cab Porsche gave me when waiting for my 2014 GT3.
2. handles like a champ. Point this car in the direction you want it to goes and it goes. GT3 better handling.
3. Acceleration close to the 911 S cab, GT3 blows this away not surprising.
4. Looks, great looking car people stare at the car and maybe due to the Camron Red color.
5. Perfect daily driver while feeling the road.
6. Stiffness in suspension very close to the GT3. GT3 in non sport maybe a little softer. The Cayman has sport suspension option.
7. Seats - perfect but I am a big fan of alcantera which this car has.
8. Value for the money (even if I did not get close to a 20% discount from MSRP) well worth it.
Con's - None to date

I too am considering the GTS as a daily driver.
