Default Cayman GTS radiator grilles

Unfortunately the Zunsport grilles just didn't fit the way I wanted (although they are a very well made product!), so I fabricated some grilles of my own, shown here.

Here's a closeup:

Nice work as always and sweet car!

How do you like it compared to your previous 987.1? Where did you pick up the matter for the grills?

Thanks! I certainly miss my 987.1 for all its wonderful sounds and tactile feel. I'm getting used to the PDK, but it's not an immediate wow for me. Maybe I'm just built to row my own, but it's gone now and PDK is all I have. The new car feels bigger, more solid, the steering feels heavier, the engine doesn't rev as easily (I had a LWFW on the other car) and the PDK seems to isolate me from the engine in a way I don't like. Yet...
Time will tell, and I'm sure it will become my favorite car at some point. But not just yet!
Material for the grille was from Ebay. I have a DIY on Planet 9 with all the information.

very sanitary looking solution, DrPhil

can you post a link to your DIY ?

This looks like something I'll need to tackle on my car as well.

Default DIY

No problems! Here's a link to the DIY for the GTS grilles. (This would also work for Boxster, Cayman, base and S).

Default Thanks!

Great stuff!

I'll have to have my wife surf the OR at her work to find a PA with good surturing skills and gear to take care of the wire threading and clamping work, but this looks like the protection those radiators need.
