I haven't heard anything about the "clubsport" option for the US... that is something that typically is sold in Europe and would have to be special ordered through the parts department.
The Clubsport info was on their website Wednesday AM, but it was gone by last night. It also does not appear on the German website any more.

Plenty of choices for a roll bar out there....same with a data recorder

From the UK configurator:

"Roll cage at rear in Black (bolted model) incl. reinforcements with connections to bodyshell and battery disconnect switch preparation. Included: light motorsports hand fire extinguisher (2 kg FX G-TEC extinguishing agent) with aluminium holder and 6-point belt in Red on the driver's side. 6-point belt incl. 2-fold shoulder straps for use with or without the HANS (Head And Neck Support) safety system. Note: Offer only in conjunction with the full bucket seats option (order no. P11) with leather/Alcantara seat covering in Black. Front, FIA-approved roll cage for use on race tracks is available from the Porsche Motorsport department"

that clubsport bar appears to have mounts for the front cage!

a full caged GT4 with license plates has to be good time no matter who you are

Just got a reply from my dealer:

"Porsche is only offering a manual transmission and there is no plan for PDK. Being a limited production vehicle, odds are it will not be offered in a different configuration.

There is also no option in the configurator for a clubsport package.

Let me know if you have any other questions."

I was hoping to have a pdk GT4 to commute but it seems like it's not happening.

This 20 minute interview with Aundreas and the new GT4 helps answer many of the questions being asked, but you have to read between the lines...

I'm not owning a car with PCCBs. An article in Pano said when maint is needed, brake pads and rotors replaced is $15-17k! Not me.

The GT4 is going to make 3.8L transplants in Cayman S's look all the better.

With the GT3's 380mm brakes standard is there any real need
for PCCB's?

918 owners are offered first dibs on any new model before
the general public.

Production will be 600 US cars with about 200 going to the 918 owners. .......... From a really good source.

Im not sure how many 918 owners will buy a GT4. Doesnt seem like a good match. Maybe thats just wishful thinking...

No need.. But amazing to have a totally "over-braked" car.. Little rocket ship with 410mm pccb is delicious. $15k replacement cost isn't but maybe the wear on a lighter car won't be as much?
