Question: Thoughts About Buying A "Loaner"
Private party is advertising a Cayman with 11,000 miles. He is only owner, but is upfront saying car was a Porsche dealer loaner before he bought it. He likes car but is trimming back on cars he has. I have never bought a demo or loaner and am nervous about buying a car with history as dealer loaner (many different drivers). Car is still under warranty but I don't want an unusual amount of problems so would appreciate experiences anyone has had with Porsche loaner cars. I will try to talk to dealer about car, but any particular things to look at or for on such a car?? Thank you

I would not be too concerned about it either.
I think my '06 CS may have been either a loaner or demonstrator car as it was in the dealer's possession for about 7 months before it had a 1st owner recorded on CarFax.
Now as it is nearing 9 years old (only 25K miles tho) I see no signs of abuse or premature wear problems.
