I am shopping for a 987.1 Cayman S and I found a car I'm very close to purchasing. I haven't seen the car yet, so I'm only relying on pictures at this point. I'm trying to determine if the exhaust on this particular car has been replaced with aftermarket, or if the exhaust tips have just been optioned differently.

The sales person is unable to determine the difference, Any ideas?

It for sure has aftermarket tips. only way to tell about the exhaust is to look and or listen to it

Many aftermarket exhaust cans have their brand name stamped onto them.
You might ask the salesman to have a service shop guy take a look. They ought to be able to take one quick look and verify.
