I had a call from my OPC yesterday regarding this car. I've had my name down since the very first murmurings - my OPC agreed to start a list for the car back then even though they knew nothing (officially) about it.
So, I'm No.1 on that list and apparently it now has 15 names on it. They called to say the car is confirmed and it will be called the Cayman GT4. Official launch is February 5th.
Specific details were sketchy but they alluded to some interesting points...
- will come as manual or PDK
- 380-400bhp
- naturally aspirated
- priced at 10% higher than GTS
- built in Weissach by Motorsport
- developed by Andreas Preuninger
- Clubsport spec an option
Nothing that hasn't been mentioned on various forums before, but it was good to hear it from them. They also confirmed that they will be doing another Spyder (I have a 987 Spyder, so they figured I may opt for that over GT4) but my money will still go for the GT4 as my 987 is a keeper... It could be a very special car indeed.

Paul, I hope you (and your OPC) are correct. If those specs hold true, that means I could get a manual GT4 for about $90K (compared to "my" GTS build). Excellent!
Thanks for the information.
