That's what i like to hear, taking it to the track the day after you get the car!

So I'm a noob and I didn't even notice, but a friend pointed out that somewhere along the line, someone has replaced the original 19" Carrera S II wheels with a set of the lovely, lightweight, 19" Cayman R wheels, in gloss black. That's another $5000+ upgrade that we didn't pay for.

Finally got around to taking some pics between track sessions last weekend. The shiny wheels were dulled by brake dust, but that's the price you pay for having fun, right?

Thanks. As expected, a lot less effort is required to get down to similar lap times as my MX-5. However, Harris Hill is a tight track with fairly short straights, and I'm not yet ready to throw the Cayman around with the same reckless abandon as I reserve for the Mazda, so I have not - yet - bettered my times in that car.

I'll be taking it to COTA in a couple of weeks, and there I expect to be faster than the MX-5.
