P0441 Purge help
I just bought a 2007 Cayman S Which I dearly love. Need some help clearing the CEL. Code P0441 purge emissions valve. Been searching but can't find help solving this. I Think the valve is under the intake manifold on drivers side. Looks hard to get to, and not sure thats even the problem. Anyone encountered this yet?

Never had this problem, but my references point to the control valve located in/on the engine.
Long shot but be sure the gas cap is on tight and that it doesn't leak.
You can clear the code and resume driving the car to see if the error comes back. If it doesn't, then it was a "glitch". If it does come back then you can consider your next step.

it may help you that I have a current model year cayman that has been back twice in 10K miles for replacing a valve that throws a P0456 code (Tank system very fine leak) - this last visit they also updated the PCM display software (again) because the sound system went insane (and turned itself to max volume - pretty scary if you aren't expecting it). It is possible that this is some kind of similar pollution control thing, and it is possible that there is a warranty for it - might be worth checking.
